Spend Father’s Day afternoon having fun in the sun at Penn’s Landing when the PECO Multicultural Series continues.
This Sunday, June 21 from 1 to 7 p.m., the annual Portuguese Heritage Festival will return for its 21st year.
This celebration highlights how Portuguese immigrants have contributed to the city of Philadelphia, from history through the present day.
To help embrace the spirit of Portugal, attendees can enjoy traditional cuisine, sip Portuguese wine, watch folklore performances and view unique artwork.
One of the day’s highlights will surely be the blessing of the fleet aboard Tall Ship Gazela, which was originally a Portuguese vessel and will be Philadelphia’s official tall ship in one of this summer’s most anticipated events, the Tall Ships Festival.
While at the waterfront, be sure stop by two of the season’s best alfresco attractions — Spruce Street Harbor Park and Blue Cross RiverRink Summerfest.
